Historic Site

Recognition

On June 29, 2004 The Greater Buckeye Lake Historic Society was proud to award recognition to Alexander’s Landing as a historical landmark that is preserved as part of our community.

Historic Site – Alexander’s Landing 1870

Originally know as Hamilton Place, this site was a stopover for canal travelers as well as local residents.  The current owner’s great-great grandmother operated a hotel, stable, boat rental and boat landing.

The name was changed to Alexander’s Landing in 1925 when George Alexander took over the business.

Alexander’s Landing became one of the oldest dealers in Ohio for Mercury boat motors in 1947.  This marked the beginning of the marina business for this site.

The original dock remains in use today and is preserved by the current owner.

Located at 3940 Southbank Road in Millersport, Ohio, third generation owners, operate the business year-round for your convenience.
